Best I have tried!
I’ve tried several brands of coffee pods trying to find one that lived up to the great expectations I had when I bought a Nespresso machine but also not go broke buying coffee pods. This is the BEST pod so far. Rich smooth coffee that tastes (shocker) like real coffee… not an instant coffee rehash of some kind. It even smells like fresh brewed when it is dripping into the cup. Even MORE shocking… I can make a tasty full bodied cup with ONE pod!!… instead of two pods as with some other brands that taste watery and weak. I was amazed by the difference between this coffee and the brands I had been drinking. Order it. It is the real deal.

Better than Nespresso for a one ounce espresso
The media could not be loaded.
I used to live in Italy for eight years and know my espresso well, having been a straight up espresso drinker for 53 years. I have a prosumer quality macchine and grinder that regularly pulls ‘god’ shots, but I wanted something with a small footprint that I could travel with, so I bought a Nespresso essenza mini with aeroccino bundle a few days ago, based on good reviews. I was not very impressed with Nespresso’s own capsules for pure espresso, although for milk and espresso they were fine. My Borbone Blu arrived today and after pulling a few shots, I have to say I’m pretty happy. It can’t compare to my freshly ground coffee in the proper espresso machine, but it knocks the socks off Nespresso’s capsules and is in another dimension from the other brand I tried. Nice, thick crema, even floated the sugar for a bit, the gold standard for crema. The taste is like a real Italian bar espresso. My major quibble is price, but all capsules sold in the USA are overpriced. I checked the Amazon site in Italy for this same coffee and found it’s the best selling Nespresso capsule on Amazon there. It’s also half the price, about $23 for 100 capsules. I suspect that’s the case because there’s more competition in Europe, where they sell Nespresso compatible capsules in all the supermarkets, including low price leaders Aldi and Lidl. Hope to see that change here as well. In any case, the quality and performance of Borbone Blu meets my standard for a capsule.Update: I recently bought the Borbone Oro capsules to try, and they are excellent, with a milder flavor closer to Roman espresso. I also discovered a tip to get a darker crema: the water inside the machine is not hot enough until you pull a shot. Pull a shot with the old capsule first, then change. You’ll get a thicker, darker crema. This process is similar to what is known as ‘temperature surfing’ with a prosumer semi-automatic espresso machine without a PID.

Coffee pods are unusable!
The coffee in the pods is too old or packed to tightly that coffee doesn’t flow from the otherwise perfectly working Nespresso machine — and I am not allowed to return the carton and am out $60 bucks!

Great tasting, strong coffee
It is good quality coffee and strong (but not too strong). Perfect for the times as they are individually wrapped and cheaper then the nespresso brand pods for the same quality. My personal opinion is that they taste better. But everyone has their own preferences. I’ve ordered these 3 times now and like this particular blend.

Some were very good. However
Some pods gave too much coffee, overflowing the cup. And some gave very little. So little that I had to press the button again to get a normal amount. Some were very good. However, considering that it will be a hit or miss, I am not sure I will order this again

Have had better; so-so reliable at flow
With a lot of players in this space it’s def hit and miss to so from the Nespresso-branded capsules to the after market. The flavor, id give it a sold 3 in boldness and…frankly, I don’t see the reason to package each capsule Individually it’s so wasteful. But the real issue is with inconsistent flow-rate. Some flow fine then several in the box don’t; probably packed too tight and my Pixie just struggles (and doesn’t succeed) at pumping. And it’s NOT returnable! I’d look elsewhere.

Don’t think twice, buy it!
Wonderful Coffee! is designed so it has its own little bag for each capsule to preserve the aroma and make sure you are the only one that touches the capsule!. The only thing is that this are Nespresso compatible, not original. It is designed so the Nespresso machine does NOT punches holes on the back of the capsules but rather goes though their own system to flow the water. It pours very slowly to make sure you get a creamy espresso!…it takes a bit more time to prepare it, but the end result is perfect!….The whole kitchen smells a good coffee!.

Best espresso napoletano I could find so far
I used to drink Caffe’ Borbone when living in Italy, where capsules are waaaaay cheaper (more than half the price). I have tried other brands for my Nespresso machine, however the miscela nera is the one that more makes me feel like home. If they were not so expensive, though…

The ultimate best
Had this coffee while in Italy this past summer. Brought home as many pods as I could fit in my suitcase. Then when home I looked online to see if I could get it here but it wasn’t being imported. I kept looking and finally found it on Amazon so I bought a bunch of it. So happy to know I can now get it cuz it is without a doubt the best original pod coffee out there. They have multiple intensities. It blows away anything Nespresso has at a much better price. Works great in Nespresso machine. Go buy some !

GREAT espresso @ half the price of the name brands
I was a bit dubious at first, having had problems with capsules not from Nespresso. My brother had been using Cafe Borbone pods in his Starbucks machine and it was fantastic…great, rich flavor with nice crema. I tried it, and found that there was no problem with the pod…they even pack it in a single pack, with gas, keeping it fresh and safe from damage )better than the Nespresso Tubes. I’m converted…this is the only coffee I’ll use in my machine now.

these capsules ruined my nespresso machine
As other reviews have said, the capsules are not constructed in such a way that they can be punctured properly. Sometimes only water comes out at first, and when the coffee comes out is is a much thinner stream than standard Nespresso pods. Sometimes there is finely ground coffee sediment in the coffee. I thought the issue was that the machine needed to be descaled but that didn’t correct the problem. I tried pods from Nespresso and after descaling those are also producing a thinner stream of coffee. They work better than these capsules but not as good as they used to.

Does not Work in Original Nespresso Machines
I have ordered this in the smaller pack and loved the coffee so much that I ordered the 100 pack.However, the pod is shaped differently. The bottom is flat and the pod is a hard plastic. Once inserted the machine can only puncture the pod in the very center and only a tablespoon of espresso is created on the lungo setting.I am very disappointed and now doubly so since a refund is not accepted.Shame on Amazon and the company who sells this.I would give this zero stars if possible because I have $50 worth of unusable product.
