Tastes great.
I have only had a couple of cups, so there really is no way to rate the effectiveness. However, it tastes great- I used only one Tablespoon per 12 oz cup- the instructions called for 4 Tablespoons per 12 Ounce cup. I hope I will still see benefits. I think 4 Tbls would make really strong cup of coffee- too strong for my tastes.

Tasty
I love this coffee so much. It’s delicious, first of all. Secondly, I am pretty sensitive to the effects of caffeine and can get anxious from it. With this coffee, I’ve noticed it doesn’t have that effect. It gives me a boost without jitteriness. I drink a cup every morning! It’s expensive but worth it, IMO.

Good, but pricey
I like what Four Sigmatic is doing here. This review is for the variety I ordered – Think (with Lion’s Mane).To be quite honest, I stumbled across this product while looking for lower priced alternatives to Mudwtr. I’d seen a few ads for Mudwtr and wanted to check it out. Until I saw the price, that is. Mudwtr is a little over $7 an ounce (!), while the Four Sigmatic blend is a little over $1 an ounce. A pretty significant price difference, I’d say.I have not tried Mudwtr because of the excessive price. I like the idea of it and support what they are doing, but I am a heavy coffee drinker. I have worked swing shift for over 27 years and have given up soda and sweetened beverages. However, I drink a lot of coffee. It doesn’t seem to affect my sleep much, and I have way less adverse effects from caffeine than sugar, but…I know that caffeine is not good for anyone in large amounts and that we should all cut back or eliminate it from our diets. I’ve been on a kick where I’m trying to eat and drink healthier to try to avoid more health problems as I age.So back to the coffee. Cutting back hasn’t worked too well because I need something to stay awake all hours of the day and night, and most of the caffeine alternatives are worse for me than drinking coffee. Mudwtr sounds like a great idea because it is supposed to look like coffee and taste good but only have mushrooms and adaptogens in it – an energy booster without the coffee and caffeine and all of the associated side effects. But it runs about $2 a cup – a little too expensive for me to sustain in the long term. I love the idea of it, but I’d have to cut down to one cup every day or two.The Four Sigmatic coffee is much more affordable. It comes out to less than 30 cents per cup. It also claims to give you the energy boosting and sharp focus effects of coffee without the adverse side effects. However, it has coffee blended with mushrooms (or is it the other way around?) instead of a non coffee blend. I found it to be pretty much as advertised. It looks and tastes like regular coffee. As mentioned earlier, I tried the Lion’s Mane blend, and it was excellent. Wouldn’t know it had mushrooms in it from the taste – just a regular medium dark roast. The claims of all the benefits with no drawbacks seems to be valid as well.But…… you can get a really good bag of coffee for $1 an ounce. I usually drink Folger’s Classic Roast, and I can get a 3 pound can of that for $11. That works out to about 23 cents per ounce which works out to 6-7 cents per cup, depending on how strong I make it. I know money isn’t everything, but it does seem to make the world go round, and I never seem to have as much as I’d like.So, as much as I’d like to make this coffee my daily driver, I don’t think I’ll be able to because of the price. For now it is my “day off” or “special occasion” coffee. There may be a day when I can switch to drinking it full time without cutting corners somewhere else (like buying less produce for example). Five stars for the product, I’m deducting one for the price. That’s just for me, though. I’d say if you can afford it, go for it, or try the Mudwtr even. I’m going to continue to swap this out with the Folgers and try to get the bag to last a while. Then, I’m going to try the Laird Superfood coffee which is similar to this one but a bit cheaper.

To me, you can’t tell the difference with this coffee and regular coffee, plus… it’s good for your BRAIN! The only negative thing I would say about this coffee is that it is a bit pricey so if you get addicted to it, well, create a budget for it! Ha-ha!

Amazing flavor
This was my first time trying a mushroom coffee. I wanted a coffee that was healthier for me and my gut. I use a French press and oat creamer, although I could drink it black it’s that good. I can’t say enough about how amazing this coffee is

I Can’t Say Enough Good About This Coffee!
In a world where everyone is drinking mushrooms this was the best taste and fit for me! I 100% felt better on the days I chose this coffee over my usual espresso. Perhaps it was mental, perhaps it was mushrooms! Tastes great and apparently my brain liked it too!

Extremely potent, it was like taking adderall
All of the reviews I read made this coffee sound mellow, but that’s exactly what it was not for me. The coffee gave me an uncomfortable hyper-focus that made me triple check the bag because I thought I was high. I ended up having to cut it with regular coffee to half the amount, and since then it’s been okay.Once the coffee jitter wears off (it’s very strong coffee) and the initial “I feel like I’m on speed” sensations go away, the mental clarity it evokes is quite nice. But if you’re sensitive, the first few hours after drinking this can be intense.

This coffee is really good. I’m not sure if there’s any true effect of the mushrooms, but there is a placebo effect. I saw this in the store a few times and always assumed it would be disgusting. It’s actually my new favorite coffee. I can actually taste the notes of chocolate. I like that it doesn’t give my stomach that hollow feeling an hour later.

“Cleaner” energy than regular caffeine
I don’t know if it’s intentional or a benefit of the mushrooms in the coffee, but I feel so much better when I drink this as opposed to regular coffee/caffeine. I have a “cleaner” energy, if that makes sense. I feel lighter, less brain fog, less headache, no crash. The taste is different than regular coffee obviously, but I got used to it quickly and now enjoy it. Would highly recommend!

I have never written a review for coffee before. I just don’t care about coffee that much to do so. I’m happy getting a latte from a local coffee shop or buying coffee and making it at home. But this coffee…disclaimer: I decided to purchase a stovetop espresso maker in the same order. They came together, so I used both for the first time. First cup? DELICIOUS. I add a little oat milk, but the coffee flavor was in no way diluted. And the stove top coffee maker was very simple. I thought it was a complicated process, but nope. Quite easy. So, in short, I’m not sure if it’s this coffee or the fact that I made it in a different way, but it’s my go to from this day forth. Hoping to be able to speak to the mushroom content soon as it relates to mental clarity!! Did I mention that the coffee was delicious?? If I didn’t, it’s delicious!!!

Great effects, flavor subject to coffee preference.
So first of all I intended this as a gift for my fiancé, we’re trying to find a healthier and more natural type of coffee that isn’t super acidic and hard on your stomach. He made a half pot, so I was able to try some.My only “complaint” is if you drink your coffee black, it has a faint bitter taste (from the mushrooms I’m sure). I use creamer so I just add a little extra splash and the taste is perfect.What I enjoy most about this coffee is that I have never felt jittery while drinking it.Almost every other coffee I have tried can leave me feeling jittery and even shaky, this one feels very balanced. I even tested it by drinking more coffee than I normally do, and the effects were the same.Fully awake and ready for the day, and not anxious and jittery. 10/10 would recommend

Happy
I’ve been hearing great things about mushroom coffee. So I decided to give it a try. My parents were home when it arrived so we brewed up a pot. At first sniff my dad said it smelled like a wet log lol but said he’d try a “no thank you” cup. I added a little sugar and cream, my parents cream only, my son likes his black. Mom and I liked it so much we’re already looking forward to another delivery.My son and dad said that it tastes like it smelled.My digestive system, arthritis, and mind have never been more content in just one cup. I have basically given up regular coffee in the past few weeks.

Not What I Was Hoping For
I’ve been dialing back my regular coffee intake for the past 9ish months, and switched to mushroom coffee by Pella. The Pella brand is so smooth, creamy and delicious, but is a little on the pricier side. I came across this brand, that seemed to be similar and was cheaper so decided to give it a try. Perhaps my tastebuds aren’t used to the regular coffee taste anymore, but this tastes like my parents Folger’s dark roast… even fixed up with sugar and creamer. (I purchased the medium roast variety btw) My husband likes it though, so maybe he’ll continue with it.I would say that if you are just now switching from regular coffee to this version, then this should be perfect, there is little to no taste difference, but you’ll get the added benefits of the mushrooms. For me however, I’ll prob go back to Pella… or maybe try some tea instead.

Love it
Used for one week and noticable difference, energy/focus with no caffeine crash,no anxiety,no stomach bloating and not far off in taste from a regular brew coffee. I was doubtful but it really does make a difference. My only complaint is the cost and although it’s not super expensive it’s still more than I’m used to spending so I’ll probably alternate between this and another brand that’s less. It’s definitely worth trying,I’ll order again in the future.

Exceeded my expectations
First of all I want to say that I don’t normally write reviews. I also Find myself critique coffee quite often I am very picky, I normally drink peats major Dickinson. I was very skeptical and decided to try this out and I am very pleased. First I wanna say that this is a very smooth rich coffee/mushroom blend. Also I noticed it gives me a long-lasting energy that las that last through most of the day. I’m kind of confused at this because I’m normally a very tired person. It does not leave you feeling jittery and shaky it actually makes you feel very clear headed and Mentally strong. I will definitely be getting more of this coffee.

I didn’t notice any difference with focus or clarity in comparing this product to any other coffee or stimulant. Taste is ok. As other reviews have stated, how do you know how much mushroom you are actually getting? I did two cups the last few days and still didn’t notice a different.
