Adaptogen Blend & Defend Blend Reviews
I really wanted to like this product, but it did not work for me.Pros: It dissolves well in warm water. The taste is earthy and not bad.Cons: I felt like a zombie the next day.I took the Adaptogen Blend in the evening. I slept really good, soundly. However, the next morning, I felt exhausted to the point of unfunctional. I had to take the day as an R&R day. I could not function. The feeling I had was just really tired, and mentally zoned-out. As if I had partied all night-long and was trying to function on 2-3 hours of sleep.The zombie feeling was horrible, so I will not try Adaptogen Blend again, I’m afraid of getting that same result. I don’t have the luxury of taking R&R days whenever I feel like it.As I mentioned, I really wanted this Adaptogen Blend to work for me. This may work for someone else, just not me. I am disappointed, as I only used the product once. I am now left with a product that I can not use.For reference: I am in my 50s, and I do not have issues sleeping. I bought the product to help with daily environmental stress. I used the small scoop that comes with the product, I took exactly 1 scoop to make my tea.A suggestions: Perhaps is to have samples at a price of 1 packet at $1 or $2.I bought the Four Stigmatic Mushroom Blend Defend as well. I will be writing a review for it. I did not do very well with it either. I just felt lethargic and just not feeling like my normal energetic self. As opposed to the Adaptogen Blend, I did not have to take an R&R day, but I felt blah all day.As the Adaptogen Blend, I will not be taking the Defend Blend again. I do not like this feeling of lethargy. I can’t function like this.I used the small scoop that comes with the product, I took exactly 1 scoop to make my tea Defend Blend tea.Again, this is how my body has reacted to these blends. It may help others. Another disappointment with this company and product. I highly suggest sample packets so people can sample first before having to pay $26 for 2oz cans.My purpose of buying the Defend Blend was to supply my aging body with good immune support.

Using the product for wellness purposes. I haven’t ordered anything else like this so I am not able to compare it to other products. The only criticism is the handle on the scoop is too short to easily use. The measurement of daily use has no conversion to teaspoon to use something with a longer handle.

Tiny can half empty!
This may be a “superhero” product, it tastes fine and mixes easily, but pay attention to the amount you’re getting. There are other similar mushroom products that cost about the same but give you nearly 10 times the number of servings servings.

Taste meh blends well

UpdateIm finding the taste unbearable. Im trying to cut down on creamer, but can’t when I add this to my coffee or tea. It taste better in my tea than in my coffee. i just can’t get with that earthy taste. I think my palette isn’t refined or sophisticated to appreciate the flavor. No noticeable improvement in energy and mood. Im thinking about encapsulating the remainder and downing it that way or mix it in a small amount of warm water and take it like a shot.Goes fine in my coffee and tea. I prefer coffee to overpower the taste. Its not bad its just not tastey. Its tolerable. Slightly woodsy or earthy but not gross. im excited to see what the rhodiola does for my mood and energy. B12 has never done much for my mood. I wish it specified if its cyano or myano.

Who knows if it works and amount in canister so disappointing
By for my Mom because she reads that the mushrooms help so many things, but really how can you know. And it is just so deflating to open a canister and see it is less than half full. I know it is sold by weight, but still, feels like you are getting shafted.

Love this product, hate the scoop
Feel great taking this product in my morning smoothie. Only downside is the canister is small and scoop is short so I am constantly getting this all over my fingers as I try to fish out the scoop out. Would be nice if they extended the handle length or shortened the container height since it’s barely filled to begin with.

Less coffee!
It’s hard to put a finger on what this stuff did for me. It’s like it gave me more energy but not in the way caffeine does. I noticed after a few days I was no longer feeling the need for my usual 1:00 cup of coffee during the day, and went that way for a couple weeks. When we ran out, it only took about two days for that afternoon slump to come back. I’ve been drinking coffee at 1:00 for years now, for that part of the day genuinely feeling like I didn’t need either a nap or coffee was just strange. I didn’t notice much in the way of focus but I can see how avoiding that afternoon slump would make a difference. I tend to feel overwhelmed when there’s a lot to do or alot on my mind, and that has been better too. Not sure if it’s from the boost in energy or what.As far as taste, it’s definitely noticeable. My husband and I have only tried it in coffee, but we do use flavored creamer. It’s not bad with creamer but you can taste it. You could also put it in food supposedly.I’d say it’s worth a try. Better than medicine or more caffeine…

Verdict is still out
I’ve been adding this to my coffee each day for the last week. Not sure I’ve noticed any improvement in focus, but it’s probably too soon to tell anyway. Flavor is fine, taste is mild, not mushroomy. I was a little surprised by the size of the product & skeptical about how long it would last given I opened the container and it was only half full. But 1 week in & guess it will be fine. I only have 2 cups of coffee per day so it should last I think.

Sanity- saving mood-lifter
Okay, a lot of reviews point out that the math doesn’t add up. It would be nice if they just figured that out and rejected that on the label. Done. As for the product itself? Amazing! This review is for the Balance blend. I started using adaptogenic powder blends a few years ago and they made a huge difference in my hormonal balance, stress management and overall well-bring when I paired it with eating well, exercising, and sleeping – I had already been doing all those things, but within a month of adding adaptogenic powder blends, I was just so much more energetic and balanced. Then I got pregnant and stopped taking the powders, had my baby, and then finally decided it was time. The company I used to buy changed their formula, and instead of feeling invigorated, I felt like my brain was on steroids and crashed hard an hour later. So I tried this. This has been nothing short of a miracle. Along with the baby came a military move from Hawaii to Seattle, and I couldn’t deal with the SAD, no matter how much fish I ate or vitamin D I took. I was up to 3-4 cups of coffee a day. I added half a scoop to my morning coffee and I’m down to 1.5 cups a day, the rain comes in and instead of feeling like there’s a vice on brain, I just feel… Normal. It’s amazing. So yeah, the price per serving is totally misleading. And it tastes a little like cinnamon dirt, but it blends into my coffee well and, really, what do you expect? It’s mushrooms. But I’m going to keep buying this stuff. It is saving my sanity.

Great product, half empty container…
The product itself is fantastic! I mixed this in with my morning coffee, so I couldn’t really notice a taste. I’m not normally a negative-review writer, but consider yourself warned: You only receive half a container’s worth. The picture above was the first time I opened the seal of the container. I felt like I was opening a bag of potato chips just to find a lot of AIR. Not sure if this was a faulty batch, or if they rip-off everyone.

I was pretty disappointed that there was no scoop. It is a very small canister and only half full. It says 30 servings, so hopefully that is true. I saw that the scoop should have been 2g so I figured 1/2 tsp is what I should put in my coffee. It didn’t have a bad taste, so that made me happy.

Better taste and dissolvability than Om brand mushroom blends
I tried this mushroom blend after disliking the taste of the Om brand mushroom products which didn’t taste great nor dissolve well in coffee. The taste and dissolvability of this product is far superior. As other reviewers have said, the container is only half full upon opening the seal. Wish they would fill the container fully since you basically get half the amount of product for your money, and this stuff isn’t cheap. I haven’t noticed a difference in health benefits since consuming mushroom powder blends everyday for the past 2+ weeks though so not sure if it’s a placebo effect for other people, but I will be trying the other varieties and products from Four Sigmatic.

Very small can
I got this on Prime day on sale – I have been wanting to try the mushrooms as I have autoimmune issues which I treat naturally. Mushrooms are supposed to be very helpful in keeping your immune system healthy and has lots of other benefits for your body and mind. Anyway it was on sale so I bought some. The can fits in the palm of my hand with lots of space around it. Very small can. The taste is good mixed wiht my barley drink every morning and I think I feel better when I drink it than when I don’t. I just don’t know that I can justify the cost in the future once this can is gone. Maybe if on sale again but I am on a fixed budget and must be careful of my finances. With all groceries and drugs going up every day it’s getting harder to be able to buy luxuries like this mushroom drink.

From potato to prodigy!
Four Sigmatic Focus Blend 7: It’s like coffee, but with a secret mission to make you as sharp as a caffeinated ninja! I added it to my morning brew, and suddenly, I was multitasking like a pro, simultaneously sipping coffee, doing work, and planning my world domination.The scoop is small and doesn’t effect the flavor of my coffee too much. It works for me
To start it’s much smaller than I was expecting and then it’s only half full. So I feel it’s over priced for the amount you’re getting. Which is why I’m giving 4/5 stars.I recommend if you put this in your coffee, put in the powder first, hot coffee on top & stir. Then add ice or creamer. Otherwise it doesn’t blend and you will get pockets of powder that taste nasty. When blended right, you can’t taste it.Overall, I think it does help with focus. I have adhd and have tried Adderall. I tried only lions mane and it didn’t work. So I was skeptical this would work. But this it a great alternative to medication. It’s not as strong of a feeling like medication of course, but it does have a gradual focus without the jittery feeling and I’m able to sleep!

Amazing
I take a fraction of the scoop, otherwise I’m too lit. This stuff works amazing though, helped me focus, helps me be creative, gives me mental energy and motivation. Love it! I also put 1 tap of coconut oil in my first coffee of the day. The combo makes for a great day. Highly recommend, just figure out your dosage. Not everyone can take a full scoop. I started out with half and even that was too much.

I’m sure it’s healthy, it the taste is not good.
I’d found the instant coffee focus blend mixture with low caffeine, which was perfect for me. My caffeine tolerance was too high and I was needing a reset. So I went cold turkey off caffeine for 8 days to reset my tolerance and it worked.I was ready to start reincorporating caffeine into my daily routine, but the info I was reading said I needed to keep my daily intake under 100mg to lessen tolerance keep my cups as imapctful as possible. Four sigmatic was one of the few instant blends I’d been able to find where the recommended serving was a specific, measured amount of caffeine. I very much appreciate that.So after a few months of really enjoying the Focus instant coffee, I decided to try their other products. There were times where I wanted some coffee and a healthy mushroom boost but without any caffeine at all. And since Four Sigmatic doesn’t offer that blend in decaf, I thought I could create an ideal brew by using my favorite decaf roast and added a Four Sigmatic mushroom blend to it. My decaf is a suisse water decaffeinated blend that tastes exactly like caffeinated coffee, so I wouldn’t be depending on Four Sigmatic to get the coffee part right. Just give me the mushroom blend for a superfood boost and I’m good, right?Not quite.Thia adaptogen blend tastes like team. Cinnamon is one of the ingredients in here, and you can smell and taste it. It doesn’t blend well with coffee, even though it says it will in the marketing material. If you’re expecting an additive that hides in your not drink and just gives it a boost, this isn’t the product. This blend will announce itself loudly, and you’ll be left with a flavor combination that doesn’t work well together at all.So I lessened my serving to 1/2 the recommended amount in an effort to make the coffee/adaptogen mix work. It’s…tolerable. But it is definitely a fragrant and flavorful additive that will not sit quietly while you enjoy your cup. It’s better to think of this mix as its own drink rather than an addition.

Doesn’t come with a scoop
This inconveniently did not come with a scoop. The powder smells earthy, sort of like unsweetened cocoa powder. It blended fairly easily into my coffee, and with a touch of maple syrup (or your sweetener of choice) it tastes just fine. This was packaged nicely, but like other reviews, smaller than expected in size – fine by me, I’d rather not have a bunch of filler junk in the powder anyways.I’ve only tried once but hope to update after using for a couple weeks.

The product is GOLD, but packaging could be better.
I have been using Four Sigmatic (super hero) defend blend to help combat chronic fatique for years now and I swear by it. It’s the only thing that helps me get through my day. It’s cheaper than some recommended medications with no side effects. I usually put one scoop into a cup of coffee in the morning to get a boost of energy, then another scoop in my smoothie which breaks down slower in my system, giving me energy throughout the day. I went from dealing with narcoleptic spells to being able to enjoy my life again. I’ve never had any complaints about serving size or cost, because it’s been a life saver! However.. I feel the need to comment on the continued adjustments to their servings and packaging.. I loved their original tin containers and loathed when they started sending out plastic scoops with their product. These plastic spoons are just awful and make me grumble everytime. They collect clumped up powder. You have to go digging for them in the containers each time you use it, wasting any extra powder by getting it stuck on your hands or under your nails because the dried mushrooms react to the smallest amounts of moisture. You can run your hands together to try and get some of the product back in the container, but more than likely it’s washed off in the sink. This stuff is GOLD to me, so even the smallest waste irritates me. And now they’ve change the scoop size and serving portion.. I suffer from serious brain fog, so a lot of my activities are set up routinely so I don’t throw off my day. If the serving size changes and I don’t notice, my day can go from good to bad real fast. I have a health condition where I have to monitor my heart, and if I accidentally overdose my coffee and my smoothie because I don’t look at their suggested portions each time, I’m screwed.. I don’t assume others deal with this same frustration, but I would love it if Four Sigmatic could ditch the plastic, sell us a branded starter container with a metal spoon and a bag full of powder, so we don’t waste our money purchasing irrelvent items, and just add the freakin’ serving size to the package. Not 1 or 2 “scoops” but real servings like 2 “teaspoons”. Then I can set up monthly purchases for a replacement bag (hopefully eco-friendly) and determine how much of the supplement I want daily.I don’t want to speak for others, but as it stands for me, I’m a grown a** woman who is lucky enough to be blessed with the ownership of serving spoons, so I don’t need all these protein and supplement companies supplying me with more things to recycle! It would be super radical to see one of these companies finally grasp that concept and stabalize their product..

Container is made for tiny hands
I was noticing that I was having a hard time retrieving words here and there. Not as sharp as I used to be. I’m taking an rx that can cause this side effect.I wanted to give this a try and see if it would help. I did notice a difference after one bottle (30 servings) It was subtle, but could definitely tell that I wasn’t struggling to pull words, they were just coming and it was heaven. I believe I only missed one dose. Otherwise, I never missed. It tastes good in coffee. I use a little hand mixer/latte mixer to stir it in, first thing in the morning.The container is difficult. I will be storing it in something other than what it comes in, next time. It’s way too small to get down in there, when the product gets low.I do recommend. Some say it gives you energy. I did not notice an increase in energy. I also cannot compare this product to any others out there. I haven’t tried anything else before, but I can vouch for Four Sigmatic, FOCUS.

Sweet dreams.
I add this to my daily morning smoothie, and it doesn’t detract from the flavor, at all. In general, my eating habits are pretty good. Limit my sweets, look for organic, and I’m vegan, so this doesn’t make a huge difference in how I feel and my overall health. But I do seem to have more vivid and memorable dreams, which may be a sign of good health, as well. With all the good reports of the benefits of these mushrooms available, I feel that this is a good addition to my daily routine, regardless of how I might feel in the short term. I used another product before, but discovered that they only used one of the two methods of extraction in their process. So, I looked for another company that used the two methods that are used, because there are benefits to both, and this company fits the bill. The only complaint I have is that the container they use is only half full. I hate waste, and can’t understand why they wouldn’t change either the packaging, or the fill the container and charge a little more.

Nice addition to a cup of coffee!
I made a cup of coffee with one serving added and was pleasantly surprised at the flavor! It tasted like a mix of a commercialized matcha mermaid drink and coffee with hazelnut creamer. I drank the mixture mid-day and didn’t really feel the jitters I normally do when drinking coffee. I also wasn’t awake fairly late like usual when I drink coffee by itself. It’s kind of crazy.The other reviews weren’t kidding about the size of the container and the amount of powder inside. It’s fairly the same size as a standard baking powder small tin, and from eyeballing it, the amount of the powder doesn’t even reach the halfway point of the container. Truthfully, I was taken back when I first recieved and opened it. I thought it was tampered with yntil I read some of the other reviews.This is slightly more wallet friendly than the other brand of chai passing off as coffee, but I just wish they put more of it in the container!

Worth the hype
I started taking this product a little over 5 months and I am truly happy with the results I get from it. First thing in the morning I pour a scoop into a water bottle and I drink it. I can feel the results soon after I take it. At times I’m not to in a rush to have my Morning coffee because this products gives me energy to start my day. Taste wise, it’s not bad at all. I know some people mix it into their coffee because of the taste. I’m definitely continuing to order and 10 out 10 I recommend it. As a matter of fact my old so daughter and my sister in law now order because I’ve turned them on to it. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

No measuring scoop
It’s a great product. However, there is no scoop to measure how much is needed. And the description says one scoop. So I randomly guess. Need to get their quality control in control.

God like product
I seriously hope they never change or discountiue this product, took me years to find a mushroom supplement that has everything i want and need and nothing I don’t. I can honest to God tell a difference in my memory and mental clarity and health after taking this for a bit. I am going to be a lifelong users if they don’t change it.

Life Changing
I’m not one to boast the benefits of such things, but this has been truly life changing for me. I’ve gone from at LEAST a pot of coffee a day to a single cup. I also work in a very stressful environment and used to cry daily, lol, but it feels as if my mood has stabilized dramatically. I am thinking clearer and not sweating the small stuff as much.Believe me or not, that your choice, but I encourage you to at least give it a try.

My brain loves this stuff
This is one of my favorite mushroom blends to put in my coffee. I use 1 scoop every day, sometimes twice 🙂 I feel like it helps me with focus, calm, & softens the blow from caffeine (I only drink organic half-caff, which also helps a lot) It also mixes well in hot cocoa, most teas, and many foods. It has a subtle earthy flavor.Cons: I wish it came in a larger size especially for the price- this one is expensive, especially compared to a few other brands.

Like Adderall, but better
Okay, so, I was diagnosed (officially) with ADHD/ADD when I was 18, and it has been an uphill battle finding the right way to be medicated ever since. Having been on every stimulant on the market, I’m going to let you know right now that if you’re trying to make an immediate jump from like Vyvanse to the mushroom powder in a day it’s not going to work…you’re going to withdrawal from the stimulants longer than you ever thought possible. Anyway, once you are through with withdrawal from stimulants (I am not a doctor)…this formula can really help you. I would say it even suppresses appetite…if you’re ADHD makes you just randomly eat. I’m a freelance writer so I’m excited to finally get back to the page today (this is my fourth day taking the supplement). I just want this message to reach the person who is afraid there can’t be a life beyond Adderall.

Calming powder
I noticed a difference in my stress level almost immediately after drinking it. After taking it for a couple weeks, I really felt a difference! I own a daycare, which can be extremely stressful. I have noticed this product helps me stay calm throughout the day, and eases my anxiety. The taste of it isn’t for me, but I have no problem drinking it quickly because the benefits are worth it.

Minor complaint
I’m a bit baffled by all the reviews that mention how the amount of the product is deceiving. It says right on the front of the tin 2.12 ounces which really is a small amount. Perhaps the company should consider changing the container to a smaller one. Personally, I enjoy this blend. The flavor and aroma remind me of instant coffee. No side effects whatsoever. The scoop that comes with the product, however, is ridiculously too short and gets messy. I discard the scoop and just use a measuring spoon.

Can is only half full
I tried this with my coffee this morning. When I opened the container, I was disappointed to find that I paid that price for 1/2 a can of product. I don’t feel differently after consuming it once. I will try it for a few days and update.
