Coffee Snob Approved!
I’ve long since accepted my coffee-snob status and tout it proudly. I cannot speak to stronger/strongest globally, but it is a good tagline. Hands down, this is in a 3-way tie for my first place/most favored roast/brand. It is expensive as h**l but always worth it when I can stretch the splurge.And yes, I ‘abuse’ my coffee (per coffee-snob code) in percolating it; but I do so in an electric percolator.Death Wish or Gevalia are about the only brands I’ll buy at a grocery store (most of my coffee I order from here); the classic, traditional U.S. brands we’ve had for generations now, are, what I unceremoniously call, the market swill; I’ll usually just drink a green tea blend of some kind instead. I don’t have much for expensive taste preferences, GOOD coffee is about the only ‘insist’ I have.The specialty diet I’m on is medical/health relevant so I do consume more costly foodstuffs overall, and like the GOOD coffee, I’ve noticed that the higher quality consumables leave me much more satisfied, sated, and feeling properly nourished on much less in quantity/volume of food/beverage consumed. It really doesn’t sound like correct math, I know, but overall, I spend less, and eat better/healthier for it.Death Wish (and other high-end coffees) pair much better with the ‘ancient grain’ breads and the other such specialty foods, at least to my minimal tastes. I’d lived on low-grade, generic fair most all of my life because I’ve never been anything but poor, as well as just not caring or preferring anything different; it wasn’t until my piss-poor diet became a/the primary driver for some health issues that I started reevaluating what I eat and drink. Switching to GOOD coffee was the beginning, finding Death Wish came much later, but it will always be found among a trio of great coffees in my home. Not being borderline diabetic anymore (at least for now), AND still getting to have my GOOD coffee the way I like it with a bit of raw sugar and cream, so what if it is still a death wish, it’s of the tastiest!

Worlds Strongest Coffee
Well, they may be right about that. It makes the hair on your arms stick up at least. The taste is bold yet smooth. It’s not acidity at all. I’ve never had such good coffee and I will definitely buy again. I understand why people rave about it. I was skeptic but I was proven wrong. The price is well worth it.

Getting the 5lb version is a great way to save money on this product
This product is great whether you’re buying the whole bean or already ground. I’ve been wanting to use this product for a while now (after loving my first experience with it) but the prices around town/online for a one pound bag of it (how it usually comes) was just too expensive for me outside of a “gift” every now and again for myself. It cost aprx $19-$21 depending on where I’m looking or the business selling it but with this deal via Amazon I was able to get each pound for aprx $14.50 (so around $73 for the whole 5 pound bag). Yes still expensive buy, imo, much more reasonably priced. How did I get it for that much cheaper you ask? I decided to try a subscription service to get a bag delivered to my house every 2 months (recommended amount of time between shipments). In case you’re interested in the subscription service but still unsure about it you can cancel the service w/e you want and there’s no fee/punishment for doing so. Find out after the very first shipment you don’t want (or can’t afford) the product/service any more, okay, just go into your account and find the subscriptions option and cancel it. If you need help finding it just ask for assistance via Amazon’s help section and you can cancel w/e you want. Overall a great smelling/tasting product with a good helping (double the) amount of caffeine in it compared to normal coffee. I make mine via Cold Brewing so theres much less bitter taste and you get more caffeine then with normal brewing. Good luck to those of you who try this. Just got my second shipment and still enjoying it.

This coffee is dark and flavorful. The vanilla notes are just as strong as the blueberry. My only criticism is the price point. 18 bucks for a single bag is too high. I’ve tried other coffees and they were just as good if not better at 11 bucks. Definitely worth the try though.

BITTER!
Call me a coffee snob – its ok because I am!. I was deeply disappointed by how bitter this coffee is! And – the blueberry is not that strong either! I ended up pouring a ton of creamer in the coffee to offset the coffee – but an hour or 2 later I had the worst heartburn. I rarely EVER get heartburn – maybe 1x or 2x a year. This is going in the trash. Such a waste of my money!!!! Buyer beware!

Where’s the Blueberry??
I love the flavor and texture of this coffee but based on other reviews I expected a blueberry muffin explosion!I didn’t get it.I didn’t even get a hint of blueberries. Not a drop. I couldn’t taste any blueberry flavor.Why did I still give it 3 stars? As a coffee it tastes delicious. It’s very flavorful, isn’t chalky, and I even like it strong. I hate strong coffee-LOL! I’m buying one more package of it to see if the new one is any better. (BTW, this one expires in two months. I don’t know if that’s normal or not. But that’s awfully soon!)Here’s to hoping the new one is better!**UPDATE: While I haven’t opened the new one, it expires even sooner than the first one does. I bought other types of Death Wish coffee and they all don’t expire until at least next June. For some reason the blueberry doesn’t “last” ast long or the stock needs to be updated. Really nice blueberry flavor, but pricey
Note: I got this on Prime Day for $14. Even at that price, I think that’s a bit steep. That being said, they nailed the strong blueberry flavor – I’ll certainly enjoy the rest of this bag.I made this with a pourover (2 heaping tbsp and 2 cups of water just off boil). Your results may vary. The coffee flavor is nice and rich. Normally I take cream, but I like this coffee the way it is black.

I bought this coffee as a christmas present for my brother last year. I never tried this coffee before so i tried it when he came by for christmas(i got 1 bag for him-big bag) and i was amazed at how strong it was. Simply the best coffee I’ve ever tasted.
I work in the medical field and as a result of my long shifts I tend to drink a lot of coffee and I mean a LOT of coffee. I like dark, strong, and black but since I pretty much rely on the beverage I’ll usually just drink whatever I can get my hands on. I’ve tasted dozens of coffees from the cheap store brand to late night/early morning diner to some serious specialty brews and previously my favorite has always been the cheap diner coffee. Speaking of those specialty blends; they’ve always left something to be desired. There is a catch with them all – too weak, added flavors, sometimes just down right nasty. It was for that reason I was skeptical of Death Wish.Given those experiences, with my first pot I went conservative. Too conservative, to be honest. It was very watered down but even so I could taste something I suspected was great. It was smooth and rich. Definitely bitter but not biting. Sadly, since I brewed it at home and took it with me to work I didn’t have a chance to try a stronger mix until this morning. I’m currently on my fifth cup and this time I went just a tad on the strong side. What are my thoughts? Well, let me tell you…5 Cups and still going is a lot of coffee and its not something most drinkers can’t relate to so most people would be thinking that I’m bouncing off the walls particularly since this is supposed to be ridiculously strong. Even with my tolerance one could easily expect that from me but I have bad news – the one thing I’d say negatively about this coffee is that the strength claims are perhaps, at best, overstated. Honestly, I can’t feel any difference between and any other coffee in terms of caffeine. That is where my complaints end and as you can see, in spite of that, I still rated it 5 stars.The reason for that is simple: This is by far the best tasting coffee I’ve ever had. All of the things I detected in a weak pot carried over to the strong one. Heck, I even went a bit stronger than usual and its still not even a little harsh. Every sip I take amazes me because I cannot believe that something could taste so strong and rich without a bitter bite at the end but the truth is that there is none. Without question, it is truly amazing.I guess aside from the possibly overstated caffeine claims the biggest issue is price. Based on how much coffee I drink there is no way I can afford to make this my regular brew and as I would so very much want to do. There are plenty of people out there who make more money than I do and if you like coffee at all, regardless how you feel about strength, you should try this. If you do, please don’t ruin it with creamer, sugar, milk, or any other additive before giving it a try black. I honestly believe that you’ll find it to be better than any thing else you’ve ever tasted.

Love this coffee but…
I thoroughly enjoy drinking Death Wish Coffee Co dark roast. I have ordered this before in the past and typically receive it as a gift from friends and family. However, this time, there was no Death Wish sticker included in the box. There is a sticker on my car, my wife’s car, my computer, my tablet, my guitar and my wife’s computer. Just damn good coffee
This made a pot of the smoothest, strongest coffee I’ve ever made at home. I’m seriously impressed. The caffeine content is definitely HIGH, and also it’s pretty acidic–my stomach could only tolerate about half of the coffee I usually drink in a day, but that’s fine by me because the caffeine already had me bouncing off the walls. This means I’ll use less and it’ll last longer. Love it!

Got this for my guy. He didn’t seem to think it was that great and he’s a coffee-head. I tasted it and it was fine but I’m too sensitive to caffeine so I couldn’t drink it. I guess this stuff is ok, just ok. Definitely not worth if you’re on a tight budget.

Burnt coffee???
I like the fact that this coffee keeps me awake! I work graveyard. But I’ve been noticing with this last bag that I bought that sometimes it tastes like burnt coffee? Why is that?

It really is the “WORLD’S STRONGEST COFFEE”
I looove love Deathwish coffee!I have been buying Amazon’s 2 pack for close to a year now since it’s at a better price point than what I can find in most stores.For anyone who hasn’t tried Deathwish, this is targeted for anyone looking for coffee that has a SOLID amount of caffeine…AKA the most caffeine that could possibly exist in a single cup of coffee.They aren’t messing around when they say it’s the “Worlds Strongest Coffee”. According to my research, a 12 oz. cup of regular coffee has approximately 144 mg of caffeine while Deathwish has approximately 708 mg of caffeine in 12 oz.That being said, this coffee is not for those who are sensitive to caffeine or for those faint of heart LOL. However, I am an RN who not only works 12+ hour shifts, but I also work nights so this has been a game changer and a lifesaver for me.To top it off, it has a very smooth, bold flavor and is not bitter at all.

Best coffee on the planet
DW coffee is simply the best tasting coffee ever. Am I biased? 100% but, you don’t have to take my word for it.My only suggestion for DW is to add the stickers back to the double pack 😉
