    My daily coffee

This is my go-to daily coffee that I drink every day. It has a smooth and non-biter flavor. I’ve purchased several times and have recommended to friends.

We like dark roast coffee but this is really dark…

We like a good dark roast coffee, the stronger the better, the Sumatran coffee from Copper Moon is really dark, maybe to dark… It’s bitter and a little burnt tasting.

    good coffee

Good coffee. It is more of a medium roast than a light roast.

    Good value

It’s not the greatest coffee bean, but, for the money, a good buy.

    Amazing Value!

I love my coffee, but the budget is pretty tight these days, so I’ve been looking for a less expensive alternative to my usual fare. As a point of reference, I make this using a French press and steep for about 12 minutes; I drink this hot and black.I notice several reviewers mention their orders were stale, but this was not my experience– the bag was well sealed and the beans were fresh. That being said, this Sumatra blend on opening is not particularly aromatic or oily in appearance, (so the scent and flavor is not as pronounced as it typically is in a dark roast), but it is palatable. What makes this coffee shine is the price tag; you would be hard pressed to find a better value for a decent coffee experience.I would absolutely recommend.

This is a Very Good Sumatran

There are countless beans, blends, roasts, and combinations thereof…because coffee is a very personal taste. If we all had the same taste, there would be only one combination…and life would be very dull. For me, Sumatran was an acquired taste. Took me a while to get over the funky rustic, earthy notes of raw earth, moss, mushrooms, herbs, etc. Thanks to my neighborhood Starbucks, who coincidentally often had Sumatra as their coffee of the day when I visited, Sumatran became my very favorite coffee. Despite it being a blend and not single-source, this Copper Moon Sumatra is very close imo.Let me just say that I’m not a snob, and am unashamed to be a Starbucks fan, notwithstanding the critics who often berate it with names like “Charbucks.” The way I see it, these critics are the minute minority, and the countless millions of people around the world who made Starbucks the undisputed global coffee icon, can’t all be brainwashed and stupid. It’s simply not possible. So when I compare Copper Moon’s Sumatra blend favorably to Starbucks single-origin, I mean it as high praise. Try it, and I think you may agree…

    Hmmm – alright coffee.

ATTENTION: This is not a Vine review, I purchased this product with real money. Ignore the Vine badge here.Bought this because of the name, which sounds exotic. It’s dark roast, but the caramelization doesn’t seem to be as good as a couple other dark roast coffees I’ve tested. I’m not going to badmouth this coffee, it’s as good as the ready ground coffee we’ve always bought, and maybe a little better. But, it’s just not quite what I would expect of a dark roast. I’ve examined the package once again, and it says “Dark Roast”, but my taste buds insist it is only medium roast.I will admit that the fragrance from the whole beans, and during the grinding process is heavenly. The brewed coffee is considerably less fragrant, and there just seems to be something missing.Let me emphasize – it’s pretty good coffee, it just doesn’t live up to my expectations. The price is good, so I wish it were what I am looking for.Dear Wife has gotten around to pouring herself a cup, and she says “It’s good!” However, she adds Coffee Mate Chocolate Cream to her coffee. I just don’t know how she can taste the coffee . . .

    Perfect coffee bean

From the minute, I opened the bag and got the aroma. I knew this was the one. Then, as I ground the bean and put it in my electric percolator, I couldn’t wait. It did not disappoint. I drink my coffee black with an occasional winter shot of basil Hayden on a cold day.I was also pleasantly surprised it was from Lafayette Indiana. And hour and a half away. Can’t wait to visit the café.

It is one of my favorites now

I do not like sour taste coffee. I prefer full reach taste that has little bit of burned taste. (Burn, I meant well baked)This coffee has it all and I do like the smell. I strongly recommend

    Copper Moon Guatemalan Antigua Blend

I order this often for my coffee maker which it also cuts up the beans before brewing…I prefer Guatemalan coffee the best….by taste and freshness. I have been ordering this brand for some time over many years.

Pretty good coffee. Last dark roast flavor they offer at a decent price

One of my favorites from Copper Moon was Blast Off, but it got crazy expensive. This one isn’t as good, but met the older price point. Still a decent coffee.

    Excellent coffee

The bag was sealed. The beans were roasted dark. The aroma was enticing. The SUMATRABlend tasted smooth with no acidic bite. I just purchased another 2lb bg today.

    Bold AF

I adored it at first, very powerful bracing aroma. As we worked through the bag, it was hard for me to believe, but I think it was actually too dark a roast for me… Most often, I find myself thinking most coffees don’t taste dark enough. Wowzer. Great body. Happy to support a smaller business, just probably not the roast for me, flavor-wise!

    Excellent Coffee

First time buying this coffee and let me just say when I opened the bag it made me close my eyes and just smell how fresh the coffee was. It was so much better then even the Pike from Starbucks. You get 2.2 lbs of whole beans for approximately 22.00. Now that is a good buy for great coffee. I’m so glad I tried it because this is the coffee I will be ordering.

ALMOST AS GOOD AS MY FAVORITE

I prefer 100% Sumatra Mandheeling, (from Coffee Bean Direct, who now DON’T accept EBT, and costs more); but considering all the coffee I drink daily, this ‘mix’ is what I can afford on SS/EBT.It’s OK, but lacks the flavor of C.B.D.’s Mandheeling.

    Replaces Starbucks Sumatra

These coffee beans have replaced our regular Starbucks purchase of Sumatra at a much lower price and a more convenient size. The taste is just as dark and rich as we got before.

Chris the coffee snob here to say this is the BEST COFFEE I’ve found in years! SO GOOD!

The media could not be loaded.

Absolutely fresh just smelling the bag is a very pleasant experience. I only drink high-quality coffee’s, and it’s my one thing I splurge on in life. This copper move on is most definitely rich and bold and not bitter at all. It’s an absolute dark roast flavor I have found my new favorite Brand and will be ordering more as soon as I’m done writing this review, I highly recommend it’s a full 2 pound bag comes nice and sealed really cool packaging and they have quite a different few varieties if you don’t like the dark roast. And last of all the price is absolutely unbeatable Six out of five stars.

float away, not blast off, really good coffee, but “plain”

i find myself pleasantly supprized that this coffee is kinda mild compared to the copper moon sumatra. if you are looking for extra caffeine or rich flavor, this is just kinda so so. mind you i really like it, just that “blast off” may be a bit misleading

    VERY LITTLE TASTE

I was going to try their Sumatra (love Sumatra in general) but instead got the BLAST OFF version thinking it would have even a stronger taste. Aa my normal grind it was so boring. I then went with a finer grind and it was a hair better but still not a good bold tasting cup of coffee. Price was good but a waste of money.

    Amazing cup of coffee!

I used to love, love, love coffee – especially that first cup in the morning. I’d lost my zest for it these last few years though. I’d drink coffee only if I needed the caffeine, and sometimes not even then. But this coffee. Oh my, this coffee. It is soooo good-it has re-awakened my coffee self, my coffee ritual of making a cup, settling in with it, noticing the coffee notes and flavor, thinking through my day, and so on.
